Philips just makes the TV tuner module. This is an obsolete video board for a PC that includes the ability to watch analog TV (obsolete in US) or analog cable. This was a cutting edge board in its time but is now obsolete so I gave it 3 stars. Phillips 7130 TV Tuner PCI Card. Siebel client installation and administration guide. Taken from the mini Installation CD. After unzip, Select the Master Application to do several driver installs; the PCI Card had multiple functions (Remote Control, too). ![]() It could be that the capture card is not 'seated' properly into the motherboard's PCI slot. This can happen from time to time especially when you are switching inputs on the back as that plugging and unplugging puts 'stress' on the PCI card which can 'knock' it out of 'alignment' so that it is not 'seated' correctly in the PCI slot. So turn the computer off and open it up and un-plug the card then plug it back in and make sure it is screwed in tight although even then it could still 'pop out' of the slot depending on the motherboard and how well it is 'seated' in the case and how well it aligns to the empy PCI card 'slots' on the back of the case etc. - John 'FulciLives' Coleman. Whats the cheapest card in the uk Do you really think that is going to get you the results you want? Depending on what you want to use this for I would take a look at the Canopus ADVC-110 or the Hauppauge WinTV PVR 250 Those are both excellent capture solutions. The Canopus ADVC-110 is an external box that converts analog A/V into Digital Video. Very good quality but a bit more work than the Hauppauge WinTV PVR 250 which is an interal PCI card that captures (using full hardware support) to MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 and you can capture directly to VCD, SVCD or DVD formats. There is also an external USB 2 version called the Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB 2 The Hauppauge is better suited for TV capture as well as other sources like VHS or LaserDisc etc. Whereas the Canopus ADVC-110 is a bit cumbersome when it comes to TV capture and it is best suited for VHS or LaserDisc etc. There is a whole section here on capture cards. Fulci, The drivers for the tv tuner are not present on my system, the tuner shows up as an unrecognised device in xp with an exclamation mark. I have tried installing the drivers from the disk every way possible but xp, pinnacle software,, etc etc etc etc all say 'no tv tuner installed' Ive just about had it with tv tuners and I dont think im prepared to spend any more of my time on a 3rd card, this card is the last try and then thats it for me Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I did a google search for 'SAA7130 driver' and 'SAA7134 driver' and I came up with a lot of stuff. I did also find one interesting link that says that some Philips SAA713x cards do not 'fit' well in PCI slots and that it is best to NOT screw it in as doing so may make it 'pop out' just enough from the PCI slot so as not to be recognized. If the computer can't 'see' the card then this is a possible cause (not 'seated' firmly). Also if you have more than one free PCI slot try them all! Aside from the google search and the above suggestion you might want to check the as it is a free website full of drivers and firmware (free yes but you must register). Also do not forget to check the website of the company that made your card as they may have updated drivers.
